Brad Avakian: Oregon's Labor Commissioner

Sign the petition: Equal pay!

Have you been following the Olympics? The athletes in Rio are immensely talented and extremely dedicated.

In particular, the U.S. women’s national soccer team is on fire! They won both of their matches so far–-but that’s not new. In the past, they’ve won three World Cup titles and three Olympic gold medals.

Here’s the problem: they still get a smaller paycheck than the men’s soccer team -- despite winning more and drawing bigger TV audiences.

Across the country, women too often do the same job as their male counterpart for a smaller paycheck. That's just wrong, and Congress has refused to do what it takes.

Tell Congress: Ensure equal pay for equal work!

In companies across the country, women are getting shorted. It’s not just about fairness – paying half of our workforce less stunts us economically and hurts out families. As Secretary of State, I’ll conduct audits to ensure that public agencies are paying men and women equally.

But we're counting on Congress to make it the law of the land. Add your name to fight for equal pay!
