Brad Avakian: Oregon's Labor Commissioner

Minimum wage: Good news, bad news

by Brad Avakian.

Here’s the good news: we’re raising the wage in Oregon.

Legislators passed landmark legislation that will raise the wage to $14.75 in Portland by 2022.

The bad news: Special interests are still fighting for exceptions that will leave some workers behind.

Tell the legislature: raise the wage for all workers!

Young people, restaurant workers, and farm workers pay the same rent as everyone else – and they deserve the same wage.

Add your name and stand with Oregon workers today.
